PreNatal/PostPartum Mindfulness

What is Mindfulness?

We like this definition written by the

Greater Good, "Mindfulness means

maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations,

and surrounding environment,

through a gentle, nurturing lens."

YEAH! YOGA teaches mindfulness as an integral part of our Healing-Focused curriculum.

You'll learn basic breathing techniques, how to find your center, how to be more

present in your daily life.

How Mindfulness supports you

before and after pregnancy:

There is a wealth of evidence demonstrating that the practice of mindfulness during pregnancy can reduce anxiety, depression, and stress which can have lasting beneficial effects through the postpartum experience.

Add mindfulness to your stress management toolkit and always check with your wellness professionals to determine the right path of wellness for you.

Peaceful parent and child time:

As you model healthy emotional regulation through a mindfulness practice with your children, you can create a supportive environment that helps your children

learn to regulate their own emotions.

Co-Regulation enables kids learn to

  • handle stress
  • resist immediate gratification
  • avoid hasty, ill-informed decisions
  • make and stick to plans
  • solve problems
  • adapt to challenges

What is Healing Focused Yoga?

Healing Focused Yoga is inclusive and focuses on resilience. Our trauma-sensitive methods are taught to create a safe eco-system for practice and relaxation. Instruction is sensitive to the needs of those brand new to

yoga and mindfulness as well as experienced practitioners.

Our healing approach integrates yoga and mindfulness practices proven to reduce anxiety and depression while increasing mental clarity. Our adult classes utilize the same tools we teach youth, to help you lower stress and anxiety levels,
regulate emotions, and connect to your inner bliss.  In class, our teachers lead you through   movement, mindfulness, meditation, and breath practices.

We accommodate people who prefer to practice on the mat or in a chair, in yoga clothes or in work clothes - fresh from the office, and those who practice as a family.
